We made the choice not to organize animation on site, it is a family campsite, very quiet, suitable for rest and relaxation, on site small heated pool, playground for children. The bike path passes right in front of our campsite, so you can go to the lake in peace through the forest. You can also go to Wassy, it is the first small town next to the Domain. In Wassy, there is everything you need: supermarkets, bakery, hairdresser, bank, doctors, dentists, the market on Thursday morning. Around Lake Der there are more than 250 km of bike paths, it's really great, there are very nice walks to do safely. Die Region
A beautiful region, with an important heritage to visit. The wealth of the natural heritage of Der also passes through the many rivers and ponds that constitute the Champagne _wet_ in opposition to chalky Champagne formerly called _lousy_. These bodies of water are part of the largest wetland in France, recognized under the Ramsar Convention. Around the lake, nature is still there! Bird paradise throughout the year, the iconic species is the crane ash, even if 300 species of birds are referenced. The lake and its 4000 hectares is undoubtedly the paradise of the fishermen, exceptional trophies are regularly in the spotlight of the press. This wild nature permanently attracts many photographers and the region hosts each year the international festival of wildlife photography. The Der region, of which the village of Louvemont is a part, has an architectural peculiarity: half-timbered buildings. The rich soil of clay and the great oak forests gave birth to this type of construction. There is also a circuit of small wood church that crisscross all these small villages.
