About the campsite
Camping Havre de Bernières offers entertainment in a relaxing and restful setting. The pitches are spacious and most of the mobile homes are new.
Close to the D-Day beaches of 6 June 1944, you can discover places steeped in history and famous beaches such as Omaha Beach, Utah Beach and Juno Beach. The Memorial de Caen, a cultural and tourist site not to be missed in Normandy, is 20 km away and opens onto 35 hectares of gardens, including American, Canadian and British gardens, which pay tribute to the soldiers who fell in the war. In Calvados, water sports are all the rage: sand yachting, stand-up paddleboarding, sailing, kitesurfing and canoeing. It is also a huge playground for cyclists, mountain bikers and walking enthusiasts. Nearby Bayeux, with its picturesque half-timbered houses and narrow lanes, or Arromanches, where an artificial harbour was built during the war and whose remains you can still admire, are also well worth a visit. For those with a sweet tooth, there are the oysters of Asnelles, served with a glass of Calvados Millésimé from the Groult distillery.
