About the campsite
At Thurø Camping, children and activities take centre stage. This South Funen campsite is just a few steps from the beach. The bathing jetty and water slide lead straight into the Svendborgsund.
You'll find shelter from the wind all over the site. Children have a large playground with a bouncy pillow, while adults can enjoy a pétanque court – and you can prepare your evening meal at the covered barbecue area and eat it right there too. Next door, you can play minigolf on the most fun minigolf course in Europe.
Thurø Camping is close to one of Denmark's loveliest towns. Simply drive across the Svendborgsund Bridge and you're in Svendborg, with its winding old streets. Svendborg is home to Naturama, where visitors can experience the world of natural history. If you would rather
see castles, it's only 15 km to Egeskov Slot with its attractions – even closer is Valdemar Slot from the 17th century – both are internationally renowned sights. You can also visit Funen's capital, Odense, where you'll find, for example, the fairy-tale author, shopping and plenty of culture.
